October 23, 2020. I went to the south not specifically to attend a Trump rally, but it was on my mind. I had given up when they were all in swing states leading up to the election and focused on finding other things to photograph while down there. But on the morning of October 23rd I was in Mobile, Alabama and overheard on the radio that there was a rally just across the border in Florida. I hopped in my truck, drove an hour, and had an absolutely incredibly different day from the one I anticipated when I woke up. I came with open ears and 4 years of questions as to how this whole thing happened. Nothing about Trump really makes sense to me. I left defeated though, there were few answers to be found within the pomp and circumstance.
Thus follows, my photographs.
