Evan Christenson

My grandfather was a pastor. An unseemingly nomadic profession that led him and my grandmother to the Philippines at age 27 to start a church and a family. My grandfather was an incredible orator and devout follower of his god, but it is my grandmother I give the reverence to.

Marlene is reserved in her abilities. As we ran through a box full of photographs recently I gushed and gushed at their beauty. She would downplay her abilities but in these photographs I see so much. These photos challenge racial barriers, question society and family, but most importantly demonstrate child-like curiosity and familial love so well. This is a small selection, but I hope you enjoy.
